Subsidy to set up a business school

From March this year, SMEs can apply for a subsidy to set up a business school, receive career advice for their employees or keep their employees' skills up to date.

The government is structurally allocating €48 million a year for the Stimuleringsregeling Leren en ontwikkelen mkb-ondernemingen (SLIM-regeling). Every SME entrepreneur will soon be able to apply for a subsidy. In the agriculture, catering and recreation sector, larger businesses will also be allowed to participate. They can receive a maximum of €24,999. Partnerships of several organisations may also apply to receive up to €500,000.

More information about the application process for the SLIM scheme will follow at the beginning of 2020. The scheme has since been published for internet consultation.
